What to Expect

  • Floating is one of the easiest and best ways to naturally heal your body.

  • Be sure to eat something light before you float. You do not want to be hungry while floating, so try to eat something light about 60 – 90 minutes before the float.

  • Avoid caffeine 4 hours prior to your float.

  • You must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • *No freshly dyed hair or spray tans please. Dyed hair and body must rinse clean for two rinses before floating (typically 7-10 days).

  • Epsom salts can irritate freshly shaved skin and we recommend not shaving or waxing at least 24 hours before your float.

  • If you have had a tattoo in the past four weeks that is not completely healed, we ask that you reschedule.

  • You will be provided with earplugs if you choose to use them. However, if you have had ear issues in the past “swimmers ear, tubes, etc.” then we would recommend that you use them. If you choose not to use them, please take extra care when cleaning your ears out after your float. Be sure to ask about our upgraded earplugs as well!

Upon entering the private room, you will wash your hair and body in your private shower to remove any hair products, cosmetics, and deodorant. Climb into the float tank and lie back gently, the buoyancy will lift you up. It is difficult to gauge how relaxed you are while floating, but you will notice afterward! One’s brain focuses on even minor sensations due to a complete lack of “feeling” elsewhere. Keep relaxed, focus on your breathing, and the aches and pains will drift away.

After your session is over, exit your tank and use your private shower to rinse off the saltwater from your hair and skin. Now you can get dressed, gather your belongings and exit your room. Feel free to enjoy our post-float lounge after your float. Have a cup of warm tea and reflect on your experience!

Oh and don’t forget to just relax! Your body knows just what to do. Now you’re ready!
